Both bands are 2mm wide but the stone still sits in the middle (instead of being bottom heavy) because it’s elongated! This is just my opinion on cushions though, not a fact! As for the length of the radiant stone you’ve posted, I personally went with a longer radiant because I wanted the length of my center stone to look proportional when stacked against my future wedding band. If you’re planning on going with a simple setting or thinner band on your e-ring, I guess this wouldn’t be an issue (though a thin band for larger stones like the ones you’ve posted are typically discouraged). Sometimes they look like a poorly cut radiant or an oddly cut round to me because the setting and/or wedding band swallows it. (Disclaimer: I have a radiant so I’m biased!) I think cushions are beautiful but some seem to lose their shape once they’re set due to the soft edges.
